Mrs. Maudelle Solomon

Mrs. Maudelle Worth Deen Solomon, age 78, of West Green passed away Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2014, at her residence, following an extended illness. Mrs. Solomon was born June 29, 1935 to the late Albert Worth and the late Lois Austin Worth. Mrs. Solomon, a native of Coffee County, was a retired Kindergarten through the 4th Grade School Teacher with the Coffee County School System and with Citizens Christian Accademy. She was also preceded in death by her late husbands, Howard Solomon, and Carl Deen. Mrs. Solomon was a member of the West Green Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her Husband: Jack Solomon of West Green, Ga.; Her Children: Ricky (Jonna) Solomon of Denton, Ga. ; Susan (Danny) Kight of Broxton, Ga. ; Bruce (Donna) Deen of West Green, Ga. ; Brian (Joy) Deen of West Green, Ga. ; Scooter Bill (Linda) Deen of Broxton, Ga. ; Molly (Bill) Hinson of Hazlehurst, Ga. ; Craig (Gwen) Deen of Broxton, Ga. ; Paul (Kristine) Solomon ; Mark Solomon ; James Solomon ; John (Karen) Solomon ; Billy (LeAnn) Solomon ; and Charlie (Amanda) Solomon, all of Jacksonville, Florida.; Sister: JoAnn Andrews of Broxton, Ga.; Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 2:00 P. M., at the West Green Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Clements, Rev. Herbert Box, and Rev. Justin Moriarty officiating. Special Eulogies were presented by many of her family and church friends. The Interment followed in the Reedy Branch Cemetery, near Broxton. Active Pallbearers were: Stewart Drury, Jake O’Steen, Kirby Holton, Robert Rivers, Harry Andrews, and Robert Sprinkles. Honorary Pallbearers were: Members of the Senior Adult School Class, of the West Green Baptist Church. Special Musical Selections, “Because He Lives”, “When We All Get To Heaven”, and “Sheltered In The Arms Of God”, were rendered by the West Green Baptist Church Choir, with Wanda Rivers, at the Piano. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were presented by the Pianist, Wanda Rivers. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons International Bible Organization. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
