Mary Frances Zanders Davis

Mrs. Mary Frances Zanders Davis, age 73 of West Green, GA, passed away Thursday night, October 25, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born June 24, 1945 to the late Herb Zanders and the late Eliza Nipper Zanders. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Billy Wayne Zanders and Bradford Zanders, 1 Sister, Glenda Faye Hartley. Mrs. Davis, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker. She loved her family including her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings. She was a member of West Green Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her husband: James Davis of West Green, GA 4 Children: Alvin Davis and his wife Debbie of Douglas, GA Randy Davis and his wife Tammy of West Green, GA Louise Ortiz and her husband Reinaldo of Douglas, GA Michael Davis and his wife Angie of West Green, GA Special Friends: Kathy Hartley and Sherry and Bobby Thomas all of West Green, GA 4 Siblings: Jackie Zanders, Lamar Zanders, Lonzo Zanders and Vernell Maddox all of Douglas, GA 17 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2018, at 4:00 P.M. at West Green Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Bounds and Mr. Kyle Lott officiating. A special eulogy was given by a grandchild, Brandi Maze. The interment followed in Calvary Full Gospel Cemetery in West Green, GA. Active Pallbearers were: Anthony Davis, Jose Ortiz, Timmy Davis, Austin Davis, Daniel Davis, Wade Carver, David Maze and Allen Davis. Honorary Pallbearers were: Kerry Van Moore, Keith Harrell, Willie Mobley, Randy Harrell, Harvey Corbitt, Kevin Wise, Ricky Lott, Casey Lott, Jim Deen, Harry Andrews, Bobby Jenkins, Ken Hursey, Johnny Wright and Gerald Wright. Special Musical Selections, “In the Arms of the Angels” and “Precious Memories” were rendered by CD Music, “It’s Not Goodbye” and “I’ll Meet You By The River” were presented by the soloist, Brenda Kaye Smith, with CD Music. At the Graveside “Amazing Grace” was presented a cappella by the soloist, Brenda Kaye Smith. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
