Lucille Teston

Mrs. Lucille Shrouder Teston, age 81, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a short illness. She was born December 4, 1933, to the late Jessie J. “Jim” Shrouder and the late Donnie Whiddon Shrouder. Mrs. Teston, a native of Broxton, Coffee County, was a retired L. P. N. She had worked many years as a nurse for Dr. William Wills. She was preceded in death by her first Husband, Buster Teston, 2 Daughters, Virginia “Jeanie” T. Meeks, and Sandra T. Kuhn, 1 Sister, Myrtle Bennett, 6 Brothers, Herbert Shrouder, Jimmy Shrouder, Cecil Shrouder, Ed Shrouder, E. J. Shrouder, and Jessie Shrouder, Jr. She was a member of Post 31, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Coffee Sippers Club. Mrs. Teston was a member of the Church of Christ of Fitzgerald, Ga. Survivors include, Her Husband: W. B. “Bill” Teston of Douglas, Ga.; 4 Daughters: Linda T. (Roger) Carter of Baxley, Ga., Betty Ann (Tom) Brown of Titusville, Fla., Elizabeth “Libby” (Stanley) Stone and Terry (Gerry) Armstrong both of Douglas, Ga.; 1 Sister: Donna Williams of Hazlehurst, Ga.; 1 Brother: Shelton (Marilyn) Shrouder of Ambrose, Ga.; 13 Grandchildren: Rodney Carter, Randy Carter, Brandy Harper, Scott O’Steen, Dana Corbitt, Megan Armstrong, Amanda Spivey, Jeremy Meeks, Angela Brown, Lisa Brown, Jena Brown, Erin Teston, and James Kuhn,, 24 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 11:00 A. M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Preacher Michael Lamb, Elder Benny Grice, and Rev. Tim Mock officiating. A Special Eulogy was given by a grandson, Randy Carter. The Interment followed in the Reedy Branch Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Rodney Carter, Randy Carter, Dylan Carter, Chad Hutto, Brandon Spivey, Andrew Hutto, and Scott O’Steen. Special Musical Selections, “Amazing Grace” was presented as a Congregational Hymn, led by Karey Vickers, and “I Want Us To Be Together In Heaven”, was rendered by David and Marlene Kirkland. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
