Harvey Lewis Vincent, Jr.

Mr. Harvey Lewis Vincent, Jr., age 78, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away suddenly Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Vincent was born August 10, 1946 in Farmville, North Carolina to the late Harvey L. Vincent, Sr. and the late Vivian Lavonia Butler Vincent. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served in the Vietnam War with a strong love for God, country, and family. He was an electrician by trade, specializing in electric motor repair, and he owned and operated Vincent Electric Company for 53 years. He enjoyed fishing and will be fondly remembered by many that enjoyed weekly fried fish meals. Mr. Vincent’s greatest earthly enjoyment was time with his grandchildren. He could be found at nearly every sporting event where one of his grandchildren ever played. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 brother, Roger Lee Vincent. Mr. Vincent is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of 57 years, Ann Lewis Vincent of Douglas, Georgia; 2 children: Teresa Michele Vincent Bradshaw and Stacy Lewis Vincent, both of Douglas, Georgia; 6 grandchildren: Payton Andrew Bradshaw, Avery Henderson Vincent, Brayden Oliver Bradshaw, Olivia Ann Bradshaw, Lola Grace Vincent, and Brody Thomas Vincent, all of Douglas, Georgia; 1 sister, Maryanne Lewis of Douglas, Georgia; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Mr. Vincent’s family will receive friends Sunday evening, September 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. His funeral will be held Monday morning, September 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Phillips, Rev. Matt Rutland, and Rev. Drake Lomax officiating and Angie O’Steen offering a musical selection. Interment will immediately follow in the Douglas City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include: Payton Bradshaw, Brayden Bradshaw, Avery Vincent, Jad Deal, Dr. Josh Vickers, Chan Carver, and Matt Day. Honorary pallbearers will include: Quitman Wooten, Jimmy Turbeville, Dennis Worrell, Eric Lott, Dany Artiga, Danny Chaney, James Young, Ronald Grantham, Charlie Williams, and Anthony Deal.
