Dallas Layne Howell

Mr. Dallas Layne Howell, age 20, of Nicholls passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 27, 2018, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah following injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was born July 23, 1997 to Chris Howell and Melissa Barber Howell Croft. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ricky Taylor, maternal great grandfathers, Rev. Gene Minix and R. J. Lott, maternal great grandmother, Shirley Minix, paternal great grandfathers, Clifton Howell and Willie E. Crosby. Dallas was a 2016 graduate of Coffee High School where he was an active member of the drum line with the Coffee High Marching Band. He was employed with Mastec as an apprentice lineman. Survivors include: His fiancée and the love of his life: Hannah Chaney of Nicholls, GA 1 Son: Kason Laine Howell of Nicholls, GA Father: Chris Howell and his fiancée, April Reliford of Douglas, GA Mother and Second Dad: Melissa and Jesse Croft of Douglas, GA Siblings: Keegan Howell, Caleb Howell, Shelby Croft, Katie Croft, Alissa Hollinger, Jordan Hollinger and Hope Hollinger all of Douglas, GA Paternal Grandparents: Royal & Martha Howell of Douglas, GA Maternal Grandparents: Debbie and Keith Hampton of Jacksonville, GA Paternal Great Grandmother: Flossie Maxwell of Albany, GA Several Uncles, Aunts, extended family members and a host of friends. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon July 4, 2018, at 2:00 P.M at First Assembly of God with Rev. Javaris Wright and Rev. Trevin Simmons officiating. A Special Eulogy was given by his father, Chris Howell. The Inurnment will follow at a later date. Active Pallbearers were: Keegan Howell, Caleb Howell, Jordan Hollinger, David Taft, Cory Manac, Bryan Broome, Blake Howell, Joseph Davis, Chase Pridgen and Dustin Montgomery. Honorary Pallbearers were: Blake Croft, Austin Geames, Levi Chaney, Bradley Phillips, Kurt Lowe, Eli Adams, Samuel Adams, Adrian Joyce, Cameron Joyce, Bruce Carver, William Monk, Tyler McQueen, Jonathan Tucker, Justin Taylor, Daniel Butler and Fellow Linemen Workers and Fellow Drummers of Coffee High Band. Special Musical Selections, “Changed” was presented by CD Music and “I Won’t Complain” was presented by the Soloist, Rev. Trevin Simmons, with Zack Williams, at the Keyboard and “Until Then” was presented by the Soloist, Royal Howell with Mrs. Martha Howell, at the Piano. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by Zack Williams, at the Keyboard. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
