Virginia Willene Porter Bradford Clanton, age 88, of Douglas, formerly of Valdosta, GA, passed away early Thursday morning, April 25, 2019, at Vista Park Health & Rehabilitation in Douglas, following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 30, 1930 to the late James Albert Porter and the late Gladys Dale Porter. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her two late husband’s, Walter Oscar Bradford and Billy Lamar Clanton and 1 Brother, James Ralph “Pete” Porter. Mrs. Clanton, a native of Irwin County, GA, was a retired supervisor and seamstress with Bay Liner Boats. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: 5 Children: Gerald Bradford, Faye Bridges and Kaye Bradford, all of Douglas, GA. Junior Bradford of Valdosta, GA and Ronnie Bradford of Naylor, GA 1 Step-Daughter: Tracy Clanton of Valdosta, GA. 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends. Graveside Services and Interment will be Saturday morning, April 27. 2019 at 10:00 A. M. at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M. at Ricketson Funeral Home. Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
