Shirley Fay Miller

February 3, 1945 - June 29, 2017

Mrs. Shirley Fay Hollinger Miller, age 72 of Douglas, went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, June 29, 2017 at Pruitt Health Fitzgerald in Fitzgerald, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Miller was born February 3, 1945 to the late Felton Hollinger and the late Cora Williams Hollinger. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers, Alton Hollinger, Calton Hollinger, Jack Hollinger, Frank Hollinger and Allen Hollinger and 3 Sisters; Josie Reliford, Ocie Johnson and Betty King. Mrs. Miller, a homemaker, was a native of Toomsuba, Lauderdale County, Mississippi; however she had been living in the Douglas area for many years. Mrs. Miller was a member of Fales Pentecostal Church. Survivors include: Her Husband of 54 Years: Elmer J. Miller, Sr. of Douglas, GA 3 Sons: Elmer Jackson Miller, Jr. and Clyde Henry Miller both of Douglas, GA Johnny Houston Miller of Broxton, GA 1 Sister: Frances Tidwell of Hahira, GA 8 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends The funeral service was held Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Fales Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bill Musgrove officiating. The interment followed in Jowers Chapel Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Billy Hollinger, Jamie Hollinger, Don Don Hollinger, Kyle Palmer, Eugene Waters, Alex Miller and Tim Anderson. Special Musical Selections, “No One Can Wear My Robe, But Me”, was presented by Shelia Fender on CD Music, “Long Black Train” was presented by Robert Parker with Taped Music; “Knowing You Will Be There” was presented by Bobby Parker by CD Music, and at the Graveside, “Earth’s Loss, Heavens Gain” by CD Music. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
