Mr. Roy Thomas Graham, age 93, of Douglas passed away early Friday morning, December 16, 2016 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Graham was born October 24, 1923 to the late Thomas Carlos Graham and the late Annie Jewel Rape Graham. Mr. Graham, a native of Ocilla and Irwin County, was a Truck Driver for Fleetwood and Fiesta Mobile Homes, GBI Autopsy van driver, and USPS rural postal carrier. He was preceded in death by 1 Son Tommy Graham, 1 Sister Bertie Yawn, and 2 Brothers, Raleigh Graham and Roscoe Graham. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran having served during World War II. Mr. Graham was a Charter Member and an active member of Morningside Baptist Church. Survivors include: His Wife of 51 Years, Delores (Dee) S. Graham of Douglas, GA; 1 Son, Glenn Graham and wife, Ginny of Douglas, GA; 3 Daughters, Melissa Lott and husband, Keith and Heather Lankford and husband, Theron all of Douglas, GA., Nancy Hayden and husband, Don of Bowling Green, KY; 3 Brothers, Herman Graham and wife, Tina; Ocie Graham and wife, Nell and Eddie Graham all of Fitzgerald, GA; 2 Sisters, Myrtle Smith of Moultrie, GA and Clara Ely of Douglas, GA; 7 Grandchildren, Arayna McDonald, Laken McDonald, Kelsey Lott, Keagan Lott, Cadence Settles, Myrle Grate and Lara Bailey; Several Great Grand Children, Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Sunday, December 18, 2016, at 2:00 P. M. at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Robert “Chip” Woodruff and Rev. Robert Wigley officiating. The interment followed in Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Jerry Harper, Ken Floyd, Elisha Vickers, Gerald Carver, Robbie Roberson and Babe Barnett. Special Musical Selections, “Saved By Grace," was presented by the Morningside Baptist Church Choir, led by Janice Wolters with CD Music, and “The Lighthouse,"was presented by the Morningside Baptist Church Choir, led by Carl Wolters with CD Music. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by the Pianist, Jamiee Carter. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
