Ms. Ollie Mae Stapleton Andrews, age 79, of Douglas, GA passed away Sunday afternoon, December 20, 2015 at the Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, GA following an extended illness. She was born June 16, 1936 to the late Peach Stapleton and the late Ida Holton Stapleton. Mrs. Andrews, a native of Jeff Davis County, was a former Lab & X-ray Technologist. She was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. She was preceded in death by her late Husband, 1Jim Andrews, and a Son, Stanley Steven Davis. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Meloni (Dale) Burkett of Douglas, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Chris Burkett, Justin Burkett, Derrick Davis, and Chandler Davis all of Douglas, GA and Eric Davis of Alabama; 12 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives. Graveside Services and Interment were held, Tuesday, at 2:00 P.M., at the Burkett Cemetery near West Green, with Bro. Clark McKinnon officiating. Active Pallbearers were: Chris Burkett, Justin Burkett, Eric Davis, Terry Fussell, Dale Burkett, David Cumbass, and Chandler Davis. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
