Mrs. Lutrell Musgrove Lott, age 67, of Douglas passed away Wednesday night, August 6, 2014, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Lott was born March 13, 1947 to the late Eugene Musgrove and Mrs. Ethel Carter Musgrove. Mrs. Lott, a native of Axson, Atkinson County, was a homemaker. She had lived in the Douglas area for most of her life. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Musgrove. Mrs. Lott was a faithful member of the West Ward Street Church of God. Survivors include: Her husband of 49 years: Teddy C. Lott of Douglas, GA; 1 Son: Stanley Burke (Felicia) Lott of Douglas, GA; 1 Daughter: Brandy Louise (Sean) Flanagan of Burke, VA; Mother: Ethel Carter Musgrove of Douglas, GA; 2 Grandchildren: Anna Catherine Flanagan and Sean Connor Flanagan both of Burke, VA; 2 Sisters: Irma Lou Spell of Nicholls, GA., and Wanda Gail Beecher of Douglas, GA.; 5 Brothers: Paul Musgrove of West Green, GA., Willis Musgrove, Rev. Floyd Musgrove, Herbert Lamar Musgrove, all of Douglas, GA, Carlton Musgrove of Alabama; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Saturday morning, August 9, 2014, at 11:00 A. M. at the West Ward Street Church of God with Rev. Britt Peavy and Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. The interment followed in the Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Bruce Spell, Chris Musgrove, Billy Burnam, Bradley Burnam, Paul Eugene Musgrove, Jr., Johnny Selph, Lee Musgrove, Kenny Musgrove, and Keith Musgrove. Honorary Pallbearers were: Sherry Carver, Shelly Cole, Shirley Cloat, Sharon Lott, Jennie Law, Shirley Luke, and Margaret Day. Special Musical Selections, "Stroll Over Heaven", was presented by the Soloist, Derek Soles, “Amazing Grace", was presented by the Soloist, Adam Vickers, and “Living By Faith", was rendered as a Congregational Hymn, led by Rev. Britt Peavy, and Robyn Vickers was the Pianist for each hymn, and "Go Rest High On That Mountain", was presented by the Soloist, Rev. Britt Peavy, with Adam Vickers, on the Guitar. "Pre-Lude" and "Post-Lude" soft hymns were presented by the Pianist, Robyn Vickers. At the Graveside, "Sweet Bye and Bye" was rendered by Heather Merritt, on the Mandolin, and Ashley Spell, on the Guitar. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
