Mr. Lott Jesse "L. J." Harrell, age 83 of Douglas, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 22, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Harrell was born September 8, 1938 to the late Jesse Harrell and the late Miriam Kirkland Harrell. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Carolyn Turner; 1 Brother: Phillip Harrell and 1 Grandson: Jeremy Harrell. Mr. Harrell, a native of Coffee County, GA, was retired from the Coffee County Board of Education as an Assistant School Superintendent and also as an Elementary School Principal,. He attended Tanner Baptist Church in the Satilla Community. Survivors include: His wife: Jewel Revis Harrell of Douglas, GA 3 Children: Dr. Justin Harrell of Douglas, GA Larry Harrell of Douglas, GA Terry Harrell and wife Angie of Douglas, GA 1 Brother: Frankie Harrell of Douglas, GA 4 Grandchildren: Nicole Taft and husband Ryan, Flynn Harrell, Miriam Harrell and Ava Harrell all of Douglas, GA 4 Great Grandchildren: Hunter Taft, Declan Taft, Halle Harrell and Landon Taft all of Douglas, GA Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends The funeral service will be held, Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. The interment will follow in Harrell Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Bryan McKinnon, Jesse Harrell, Ryan Taft, Chance Harrell, Stanley O'Steen and Johnny Jowers.
