Mr. Jay Allen Graves, age 58, of Broxton passed away Saturday evening, April 23, 2016, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born April 16, 1958 to the late Robert Arthur Graves and Doris Burton Graves. Mr. Graves, a native of Washington, D. C., had been doing Carpentry Work and Home Repairs while living in the Broxton area. He enjoyed his family and friends, and helping other people. Survivors include: His Wife, Lora Kay Burch Graves of Broxton, GA; His Mother, Doris Burton Graves of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 3 Step-Daughters: Shae (Michael) Hare of Douglas, GA, Lori Smalley, and Erin Burch, both of Broxton, GA; 3 Sisters, Edith Coates of Pennsylvania, Thelma (Tony) Escobar, and Phyllis (Paul) Graveline, both of Virginia; 6 Grandchildren and Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives. Memorial Services were held Saturday morning, April 30, 2016, at 10:00 A. M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Eulogies were given by Doug Swank, Daniel Waldron, and Darrell Chaney. The Inurnment will follow at a later date. A Special Musical Selection, “Lead Me Home”, was presented by the Soloist, Darrell Chaney, with CD Music. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by CD Music.
