James Robert "Bobby" Reynolds

March 31, 1941 - June 1, 2019

Mr. James Robert “Bobby” Reynolds, Sr. age 78 of Broxton, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2019 at the home of his daughter in Broxton. Mr. Reynolds was born March 31, 1941 to the late Joseph Edgar Reynolds and the late Jackie Highsmith Reynolds Kight. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son, Travis Christopher Reynolds and his Step-Father, J. H. “Snooks” Kight. Mr. Reynolds, a native of Coffee County, was the Mayor of Broxton for 26 years and he also worked as a Lieutenant with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department for 10 years. He was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include: His wife of 57 years: Gail Veazey Reynolds of Broxton, GA 1 Daughter: Tracy Lott and husband Desi of Broxton, GA 1 Son: James Robert Reynolds, Jr. of Broxton, GA 5 Granddaughters: Paige Reynolds and Aara Reynolds both of Douglas, GA Deslynn Lott of Waycross, GA Melissa Brooke Lott and Caroline Lott both of Broxton, GA 2 Great Grandchildren: Calien Pate of Douglas, GA and Ace Anderson of Waycross, GA 1 Sister: Kathy Kight Smith and husband Greg of Savannah, GA 1 Brother: Ivey Lee “Plunket” Kight of Broxton, GA Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends. The Memorial Service was held Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Reedy Branch Baptist Church will Rev. Den Weniger officiating. The Inurnment will follow at a later date. Special Musical Selections, “In The Garden” was presented by the Soloist, Jena Bagley, with Rev. Den Weniger at the Piano and “My Living Will Not Be In Vain” was presented by the Soloist and Pianist, Rev. Den Weniger. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by the Pianist, Rev. Den Weniger. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
