Mrs. Elizabeth Burnam Parker, age 59, of Douglas passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2017 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born January 28, 1958 to the late William L. Burnam and the late Shirley Tanner Lott. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister, Anita Faye Burch and 1 Brother-In-Law, Tony Parker. Mrs. Parker, a native of Coffee County, retired as a LPN from Coffee Regional Medical Center. She also had worked at Dr. Leon M. Armoreda’s Office and with the City of Douglas in the Water Department as a Water Analyst. She enjoyed being with her family and her church family. Mrs. Parker was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her Husband, Ray L. Parker of Douglas, GA 1 Son, Ryan (Amanda) Parker of Bloomingdale, GA 1 Daughter, Rebekah Parker of Louisville, KY 1 Grand-daughter, Colbie Parker of Bloomingdale, GA 2 Brothers, Lowell (Sylvia) Burnam and Danny Lott both of Douglas, GA 3 Sisters-In-Law: Kay (Bervon) Wilkinson of Douglas, GA, Joyce (Owen) Edmonston of Daytona Beach, FL and Denise Brogan of Louisville, KY Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at New Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Atkinson County with Rev. Jamey Smith and Rev. Ernest Crussell officiating. The interment followed in Harmony Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Bruce Brooker, Harry Russ, Larry Morris, Shaughn Odom, Merlin Crews and Dusty Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers were the Ladies of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Special Musical Selections, “Consider The Lillies” and “In The Garden”, were presented by the Soloist and Pianist, Deborah Copeland and “Amazing Grace”, was presented as a Congregational Hymn, led by the Soloist and Pianist, Deborah Copeland. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by the Pianist, Deborah Copeland. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
