Mrs. Edna Grace Floyd Vickers, age 81, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday evening, December 30, 2014, at the Four Oaks Health Care Center, in Jonesborough, Tennessee, following an extended illness. She was born August 28, 1933 to the late Roy Floyd and the late Katie Marie Jewell Floyd. Mrs. Vickers, a native of Douglas and Coffee County, had made her home in Johnson City, Tennessee for many years. She was a Homemaker. She was also preceded in death by 6 Siblings, Onis Floyd, Austin Floyd, Lois Baker, Irma Hatfield, and Alice Vickers. Mrs. Vickers was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include: Her husband: Clyde Burnard Vickers of Johnson City, Tennessee. 3 Daughters: Patricia Blackner (Alan) of Layton, Utah, Clydene Cotti (Robert) of Fort Defiance, Virginia, Lorie Crump (John) of Johnson City, Tennessee; 2 Sisters: Kathleen Griffis of Birmingham, Alabama, and Naomi Payne of Milan, Ga. 1 Brother: Sam Floyd of Brunswick, Ga.; 9 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Sunday, January 4, 2015, at 12:00 Noon, at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Bishop Charlie Stormant in charge, and an Opening Prayer was given by Lorie Crump. A Special Eulogy was given by Dena Cotti. The Interment followed in the Mora Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dedication of the Grave being given by Andrew Cotti, and a closing prayer being given by Patsy Floyd. Active Pallbearers were: Alan Blackner, Robert Cotti, John Crump, Andrew Cotti, Michael Cotti, and Carlie Vickers. Special Musical Selections, "America The Beautiful", was presented as a Congregational Hymn, led by Gary Vickers, and Robyn Vickers, at the Keyboard, "Amazing Grace", was presented by the Soloist, Gary Vickers, with Robyn Vickers, at the Keyboard. "Pre-Lude" and "Post-Lude" soft hymns were rendered by Robyn Vickers, at the Keyboard. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
