Mr. Daniel Seaborn Sellers, age 82, of Douglas passed away Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born March 26, 1935 to the late Joseph Lewis Sellers, Sr. and the late Nora Lydia Salter Sellers. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Ethelene Walker, Novella Spivey and Nettie Ponder and 1 Brother: Ernest Sellers. Mr. Sellers was born in Worth County but had lived in Coffee County for a number of years. He retired from Joseph Campbell Company and was currently employed at Procare in Douglas. He enjoyed his wife, family and church family. Mr. Sellers was a member of Providence Calvary Holiness Church in Worth County. Survivors include: His Wife of 63 Years: Grace Laverne Walker Sellers of Douglas, GA 2 Daughters: Joyce S. Roberts of Douglas, GA and Hazel S. (Michael) Davis of Adel, GA “Adopted” Daughter: Velma Creech of Douglas, GA 1 Brother: J.L. Sellers of Broxton, GA 1 Sister: Lavada Ruth Spivey of Doerun, GA 3 Grandchildren: Jessica Hinson of Adel, GA, Sonny (Sue Ellen) Roberts of Colorado Springs, CO and Beth Fish of Sparks, GA 2 Step Grandchildren: Alicia (Jimmie) Amerson and Faith (Ryan) Stewart both of Kirkland, GA 14 Great Grand Children Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a Host of Friends The funeral service was held Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 2:00 P. M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Woods, Rev. Hilton Martin and Rev. Kyle Taft officiating. The interment followed in Kimball Cemetery in Worth County. Active Pallbearers were: Sonny Roberts, Bailey Hinson, Chance Hinson, Ali Fish, Jordan Stewart and Charlie Amerson. Special Musical Selections, “What Will I Leave Behind” was presented by the Joyful Singers on CD and “Oh, What A Savior” was presented by the Soloist and Guitarist, Joyce Roberts and Pianist, the late Scott Roberts on DVD. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by the Pianist, Melinda Gilbert. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
