William Lott,

Mr. William Roy Lott, Jr. , age 75 of Douglas passed away Sunday evening, June 16, 2013, in Tifton, at the home of his son, Mr. Mark and Sheila Lott, following an extended illness. He was born on September 19, 1937, in Willacoochee, Georgia to the late William Rou Lott and the late Alliner Parker Lott. Mr. Lott, a U. S. Army Veteran, was a retired from Campbell Soup, and at the present time, he was a part time employee of Life Line Home Care Services. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Lott King, a brother, Arlie Lott, and sisters, Loleta Haskins and Lucille Griffin. Mr. Lott was attended the West Ward Street Church of God. Survivors include: His loving wife of 53 years: Cynthia Holton Lott of Douglas, Ga.; 3 Sons: Leon Roy (Sonya) Lott of Douglas, Ga. ; Mark B. (Sheila) Lott of Tifton, Ga., and Lonnie Jack Lott of Douglas, Ga.; 1 Daughter: Janet Alane Cothern of Douglas, Ga.; 2 Brothers: Elisha Lott, and Raymond Lott, both of Douglas, Ga.; 3 Sisters: Thelma Burkett of Alma, Ga.; Pauline Miller of Douglas, Ga.; and Leola Spivey of West Green, Ga;. Grandchildren: Blake and Cody Lott of Tifton, Ga.; Libby, Lee, and Will Lott, Ryan King, Tony Walker, and Kevin Lott, all of Douglas, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., at the West Ward Street Church of God, with Rev. Britt Peavy, and Rev. Jesse Ogden officiating. Graveside Services were rendered by Rev. Leroy Spivey in the Vickers Rural Cemetery, with Military Rites (Flag Detail and Bugler) being furnished by Ft. Stewart Army Base of Hinesville, Ga. Active pallbearers were: Blake Lott, Lee Lott, Walt Bryan, Ron Daniel, Tim Daniel, Bryson Boykin, Cody Lott, and Will Lott. Honorary pallbearers were the Employees of Life Line Home Care Services. The family wishes a sincere “thank you” to his care givers, Sheila, Sonya, and Amy. Special Musical Selections, “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, “Holy Ground”, and “Thank You Lord, For Your Blessings On Me”, were presented by the Soloist Lynda Bryan, with Taped Music. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were presented by Scott Bryant, at the Keyboard.
