Virginia Dare Lott Prescott

Mrs. Virginia Dare Lott Prescott, age 75, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Thursday night, July 25, 2024, following an extended illness. Mrs. Prescott was born on November 6, 1948 in Coffee County, Georgia to the late Albert Lott and the late Stella Buchan Lott. She married her soul mate, the late Roy C. Prescott in 1970 and together they raised 3 loving children through the course of their 53 year marriage. Mrs. Prescott made her career in the Coffee County School System where she started as secretary at Ambrose School and after numerous years of dedication to the children of Coffee County she retired as secretary at Coffee Middle School. She loved God and her faith was strong, but her greatest earthly love was for her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, particularly for her favorite perfumes and jewelry. She was a classy lady that was always ready to put her best foot forward. Mrs. Prescott is survived by her 3 children: Stacey Prescott, Mandy and Justin Beasley, Blair and Chris Roberson, all of Ambrose, Georgia; 1 sister, Faye Pridgen of Macon, Georgia; 8 grandchildren: Kane Roberson of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Sarah Roberson of Upton, Georgia, Morgan Troupe of Ambrose, Georgia, Breanna Troupe of Ambrose, Georgia, Milee Beasley of Ambrose, Georgia, London Prescott of Douglas, Georgia, Sam Roberson of Ambrose, Georgia, Averie Roberson of Ambrose, Georgia; and 1 great grandchild, Gabe Roberson of Fitzgerald, Georgia. Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 PM, at Rocky Pond Baptist Church. The funeral service will commence at 3:00 PM, conducted by Reverend Lonnie Spikes and Reverend Buddy Phillips. Interment will follow at Rocky Pond Cemetery. Active pallbearers for the service will be Jeff Lewis, Bailey Withers, Noah Cochren, Kane Roberson, Jeremy Spikes and Michael Veal. Honorary pallbearers for the service will be the members of Rocky Pond Baptist Church, the nurses and staff at The Landings and Bethany Hospice.
