Reba Roberson

Ms. Reba Roberson, age 89, of Broxton, Georgia passed away Tuesday evening, September 3, 2024 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Ms. Roberson was born January 8, 1935 in Bolton, North Carolina to the late Willie Gaither Patrick and the late Aggie Mae Jacobs Patrick. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and owned and operated Reba’s Diner in Broxton, Georgia, Rivers Edge at Flat Tub on the Ocmulgee River and The Shrimp Boat in Ambrose, Georgia for many years. She brought joy and smiles to everyone she came in contact with. You knew she loved and cared for you in the end. She was a member of Broxton Church of God and loved her Lord and Savior. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Annie P. Graham, Lottie P. Jacobs and Shirley P. Davis; and one brother, Willie Leonard “Garland” Patrick. Ms. Roberson is survived by her children: Don Patrick of North Carolina, Thomas Jerry Roberson, and wife Julie, of Ambrose, Georgia, Willard Anthony Roberson of Broxton, Georgia, Tammy Melissa Roberson Blankenship, and husband Eddie, of Broxton, Georgia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; six brothers: Rev. Kermit Patrick of Bolton, North Carolina, Willie N. Patrick of Council, North Carolina, Emanual Patrick of Leland, North Carolina, Charlie Patrick, and wife Deborah, of Bolton North Carolina, Winda Patrick, and wife Linda, of Bolton, North Carolina, and Delton Patrick, and wife Janice, of Bolton, North Carolina; four sisters: Marjorie P. Kilgore of Douglasville, Georgia, Veda P. Young of Stant of Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina, Norma P Brayboy, and husband Otis, of Council, North Carolina, and Frances P Mitchell, and husband Timmy, of Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. Ms. Roberson’s family will receive friends at Broxton Church of God on Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM. The funeral will be held at 4:00 PM at Broxton Church of God with Rev. Joey Copeland and Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Reedy Branch Cemetery.
