Jesse Dexter Spurling

Mr. Jesse Dexter Spurling, age 34, of Pembroke, Ga., formerly of Coffee County, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, April 2, 2017, as the result of an Auto Accident in Pembroke. He was born September 26, 1982 to Brian Spurling and Lynn Soles Spurling Keen. Mr. Spurling, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, had earned his Degree in Welding and was employed as a Welder and Maintenance man with Interstate Paper of Riceboro, GA. He was an avid sportsman, loving to hunt and fish. He loved his wife, his family members and his church family. He was also preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Rev. Joe Soles and his Paternal Grandfather, Donald Dexter Spurling and a Nephew, Bradley Stewart. Mr. Spurling attended the Claxton Church of God. Survivors include: His Wife: Antoinette Sanchez Spurling of Pembroke, GA 2 Daughters: Rheanna Spurling and Katie Spurling, both of Bonaire, GA 4 Step-Children: Briana Sanchez, Mary Peregrina, Atori Peregrina and Santana Peregrina all of Richmond Hill, GA Mother & Step-Father: Lynn (Karl) Keen of Pembroke, GA Father & Step-Mother: Brian (Monica) Spurling of Jacksonville, FLA. 3 Sisters: Ramie Stewart of Pembroke, GA ; Amberlee Robinson and Ashley Myers, both of Shippensburg, PA 1 Brother: Luke Shepherd of Florence, South Carolina. Maternal Grandmother: Luzene Brigmond Soles of Claxton, GA Paternal Grandmother: Sherry Spurling of Jacksonville, FLA. Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a Host of Friends. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 2:00 P. M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Pittman officiating. Karl Keen, Don Wages and Ed Dennis gave Eulogies. The Interment followed in the Salem Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Don Wages, Ed Dennis, Tyler Stewart, Brian Spurling, Ashley Myers and Jonathan (Naz) Cutter. Honorary Pallbearers were cousins: Joe Reeder, Kevin Singletary, Christopher Harrell and C. J. Singletary. Special Musical Selections, A Medley of songs were rendered by the Pianist, Janet Swanson, “Hold On” and “Read My Arms” were rendered by Video by Jonathan “Naz” Cutter. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were presented by the Pianist, Janet Swanson. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
