Frank Monroe Hutcheson

Mr. Frank Monroe Hutcheson, age 97 of Douglas, passed away early Sunday morning, January 10, 2021 at The Landings, following a short illness. Mr. Hutcheson was born March 21, 1923 to the late Sammie Hutcheson and the late Addie Johnson Hutcheson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by Lucille Hutcheson, Mother of his only daughter, Jane Carver; 3 Sisters: Pauline Parsons, Ann Sweat and Sallie Swinehart; 1 Brother: J H Hutcheson and 1 Step-Daughter: Sylvia Carr. Mr. Hutcheson, a native of Coffee County, was self-employed in the dirt hauling business for many years. He was a United States Veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was a member of the Mason's, American Legion, VFW, and Woodman of the World. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Jane Hutcheson Carver of Douglas, GA 1 Step-Son: Dr. Steve McCallum of Knoxville, TN 1 Brother: Paul Hutcheson of Douglas, GA 1 Sister: Jewell Rahim of Jacksonville, FL 3 Grandchildren: Candi Van Hove of Midlothian, TX Angie Knight of Douglas, GA Robby Carr of Douglas, GA 6 Great Grandchildren: Ian Nugent of Columbus, GA Aaron Thompson of Midlothian, TX Walker Nugent and Carson Nugent both of Douglas, GA Mason Van Hove an Addison Van Hove both of Midlothian, TX 4 Great Great Grandchildren A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends The entombment service will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Douglas City Cemetery with Ms. Susan Rockett officiating. A grandson, Ian Nugent will present a eulogy. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made in Mr. Hutcheson's memory to Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County PO Box 1203 Douglas, GA 31534 Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Ian Nugent, Walker Nugent, Carson Nugent, Aaron Thompson, Mason Van Hove, Robby Carr and Larry Hutcheson. Please note: Due to COVID-19 attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the entombment service and visitation. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines. Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
