Dorothy White Hall

Mrs. Dorothy Maydelane White Hall, age 92 of Nicholls, GA, passed away early Sunday morning, June 19, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Hall was born June 29, 1929 to the late Rev. J. C. White and the late Mary Edna Parker White. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard Hall, Sr., 1 Son: Bernard Hall, Jr., a sister: Edna Earl White and a granddaughter: LeighAnne Reardean. Mrs. White, a native of Ware County, graduated as valdedictorian of Willacoochee School in 1946. After graduating from highschool she attended Massey Business Colege in Jacksonville, FL Dorothy met and married the love of her life in 1951. They settled down in Nicholls, GA where they reared their family. Dorothy accepted Christ at a young age. She was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. Dorothy lived most of her life in south Georgia; however, she moved to Killeen TX for 8 years after which she returned to Nicholls, GA where she spent the last five years in Nicholls in the house that her parents built in 1958. Survivors include: 2 Sons: David Hall and wife Jane of Nicholls, GA Joe Hall and wife Carolina of Jensen Beach, FL 5 Daughters: Delane Tanner and husband Gene of Nicholls, GA Dorothy Button of Killeen, TX Mary Eash and husband Bob of Thomson, GA Kathy Hagains of West Green, GA Betty Reardean of Douglas, GA 1 Daughter-in-Law: Harriett Hall of Telmore, GA 17 Grandchildren 21 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren Special Family Friend: Jana Page Carver Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Darby officiating. The interment will follow in Hall Cemetery near Nicholls. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home Pallbearers for the service for Mrs. Hall will be: Jamie Merritt, Patrick West, Matthew Sprinkle, Cameron Wildes, Gene Tanner, Jr. and Bernard Hall. Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
